Community service and leadership are among the hallmarks of Madu, Edozie and Madu.
Members of the firm actively serve in leadership positions on the boards of several lawyers associations.
John Edozie was the first President of the Nigeria Lawyers’ Association. He served from 1999 – 2001.
Uche Emelumadu is a founding member of the Nigerian Lawyers’ Association and was a members of its Board of Directors from 200-2002. He has also participated as a speaker at numerous seminars on Realm Estate Law on behalf of the Association
Members of the firm also serve on the boards of various community service societies. In this regard, Uche Emelumadu has served as a Director of Simeon’s Foundation, a not-for-profit corporation and the community outreach arm of St. Simeon’s Episcopal church, Bronx, New York. While John Edozie sits as the Legal Advisor to the Kenyan American Professional Association (KAPA).
In continuum to its devotion to community service, Madu, Edozie & Madu, P.C. also donates significant resources towards the fight against HIV/AIDS; a disease that continues to wreck havoc on the African continent. To this effect, the firm offers support to Twana Twitu, a non-for-profit organization that supports AIDS orphans in Kenya, by providing them financial support and pro bono legal counsel.
Seminars
